BlackBerry Curve 9360 Features
One
of the key differences that separates the RIM BlackBerry Curve 9360
from its predecessors is the BlackBerry 7 OS. With the improved graphics
processor, a full Web browser with full HTML 5 support and a JavaScript
compiler, voice activated universal search and augmented reality
application support.
Near
–field-communication (NFC) is also supported. NFC gives you the
possibility to buy goods or services by swiping your phone over a
compatible payment system, or, using apps like BlackBerry Tag you can
transfer files by touching phones.
A
very important feature that differentiates the RIM BlackBerry Curve
9360 from recent BlackBerry releases is its support for T-Mobile Uma
based Wif-Fi calling. Simply connect your phone to the local wireless
network and you’re given the possibility to make or answer calls
(between Wi-Fi and regular cellurar waves as well, as tests have shown
us) without them being deduced from your plan’s monthly number of
minutes.
The RIM BlackBerry Curve 9360 also offers support for Bluetooth and GPS.
Pros
As
we mentioned before in this review, the RIM BlackBerry Curve 9360 has a
compact and slim design along with a tactile psysical keyboard.
BlackBerry 7 OS and NFC are both supported and it offers the possibility
to make calls over the Wi-Fi.
Cons
The RIM
BlackBerry Curve 9360 offers no HD video capture and offers no support
for T-Mobile’s high-speed HSPA+ network. The side buttons seem a little
too slim.
Review Conclusion
The RIM BlackBerry Curve 9360 is a good entry level offering for those who are still loyal to the BlackBerry brand.
